The ram on the left has a cleavage in the scrotum, reflecting two testes, whereas the other ram has no cleavage and likely has only one testis in the scrotum.  If this occured because one testis failed to descend into the scrotum, the ram is called cryptorchid.  NAL #3823 is another view of a ram with one testis in the scrotum.
