Photomicrograph of bull testis seminiferous tubules and interstitial tissue, the section stained with H&E. The tubules are about 0.2 mm (200 µ) in diameter. Note the evidence of spermatogonial divisional activity. Although special staining techniques are required to show the stages of spermatogenesis, spermatid heads are visible nearing release into the lumen to be transported out of the testis into the epididymis.
