This is an extreme example of an achondroplastic Angus calf (bulldog calf), a slaughterhouse specimen estimated to weigh about 18 kg.  It is a hereditary defect of epiphyseal plate growth, resulting in varying degrees of dwarfism. This fetus was estimated to at be about 10 months of gestation, about 1 month beyond expected birth.
